- schools can access all our libraries for FREE and use our song resources for rehearsals and performances.
- Three times a year schools are required to report the songs they have used – we make this very easy (see below).
- Schools reporting song useage to CCLI is the only way PopUK can make our resources available for free. CCLI receives government funding to enable schools to use copyrighted material and CCLI pays the copyright fee to PopUK.
How we make our songs available for free
CCLI governs the copyright payments for songs used in primary school assemblies and times of worship.Every time a PopUK song is played or performed PopUK can receive a payment from CCLI, but only if your school reports it. This is the only way PopUK can make our songs available to your school for free.
I confirm I have read ‘How PopUK works’ and agree to report song use on the forms supplied to my school three times a year.
When you sign up, you are given access to our songs for a 14 day trial period. After that period we will email you and ask you to confirm you have accessed your free CCLI account and will be able to report songs when asked. if you do not confirm, your account will be closed/put to sleep until confirmation is received.
your access is revoked unless you can confirm you have accessed your CCLI account and agree to report the useage of our songs.

Our history
For over 20 years, Andy Silver, founder and director of PopUK, has been writing songs to equip primary schools to teach the social, moral, spiritual, and cultural (SMSC) curriculum.
PopUK has developed relationships with primary schools across the UK through Multi Academy Trusts, Music Hubs, Church of England and Catholic Dioceses and Sing Up.
PopUK songs have been published by Harper Collins, Bloomsbury and Faber.
Initially, our focus was delivering in-school projects. However, following the reduction in school budgets and the impact of the Covid pandemic on schools, PopUK decided to make all its resources free to schools, relying on schools reporting song usage to copyright agencies for fund the project.
I agree to the sign up terms.
I can’t recommend this organisation more highly. PopUK has free access to songs with backing tracks for class and whole-school singing.
